What We Offer . . .

Our Church Family Offers You . . .

A Place to to Find Nourishment:

          -  There is no way around it: We are sinners. There is no work release program to free ourselves by what we do or don't do. We need God's help every day of our lives. Jesus Christ has provided that help through his life, death, and resurrection. He lived perfectly in our place! He died the death he died for our sake! He rose from the dead to prove that his soul-saving work was complete! That is the spiritual food we feast on every week at Christ Lutheran. You will not leave church with life lessons on how to be a better boss, who to vote for because of such and such an issue, or how to let your grown kids become their own person. There are enough self-help books to do that job. You will leave with a peaceful heart, having the storms of your life calmed by the sweet message of forgiveness, peace, and eternal life.
          -  Our Lord tells us that the means by which he creates and strengthens our faith are to be found in his holy Word and sacraments. For this reason, our worship services are tailored around these means of grace. We teach the clear truth of the Bible, ALL OF IT. Yes, even the parts that society today doesn't want to hear. We make no apologies for adding nothing or subtracting nothing. It is not our word to change as we see fit; it is God's Word to preach and teach as he would have it taught. You will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit will do to your heart as he opens up his Word to you!

A Place to Grow:

          -  Because the Bible is God's authoritative Word, our whole church life revolves around it and the Savior it proclaims! We offer many opportunities for Bible study for youth and adults:
For Youth:    Sunday-morning Sunday School
                      Confirmation class for 6th, 7th and 8th-graders
Vacation Bible School in late summer
                      Youth group activities
For Adults:     Sunday-morning Bible study
                       Monday-evening Ladies' Bible study
                       Tuesday-evening Men's Bible study

A Place to Feel at Home:

          -  One of the advantages of having a smaller congregation is that it truly does feel like a church family. When one hurts, we all hurt. When one needs a hand, there are plenty of hands available. When one rejoices, we rejoice together. At every opportunity, our church family gets together for weekend events, potlucks, etc. We're sure you'll feel right at home too!

Come and meet (y)our family!
